Hi, I'm Parker!

I'm a computer science doctoral student at the University of California, Santa Barbara.

About Me πŸ“„

I have a strong technical background in multiple disciplines of CS, including work in machine learning ✨ (TensorFlow, SKLearn), data science πŸ”¬ (Pandas, MatPlotLib, SQL, Snowflake, TDV), business informatics πŸ“Š (Domo, Spotfire, Statistica), webdev πŸ’» (React, Django, Express), as well as various projects in C, C++, and Java.

Research πŸ”¬

I am pursuing a Ph.D. in computer science with Dr. Tao Yang at UC Santa Barbara. I'm currently focusing on improving the efficiency of information retrieval systems, as well as multilingual natural language processing.

Previously, I worked at the Soundbendor Lab at Oregon State University for four years, where I was advised by Dr. Patrick Donnelly. My work focused on applying machine learning to sound 🎡 in the time-domain, resulting in two peer-reviewed publication πŸ“„, multiple poster presentations πŸ“°, and winning university awards πŸŽ–οΈ for my work.
