Good day, friend, I make my words the words of my friend who complained, because in the last update of Google in Brazil the icon of CARSTREAM no longer appears in the bar inside Android Auto, I have made all possible changes like returning the previous version of Google Play Service as well as version 2.9 of Android Auto. The program really is very good and is lacking in the day to day. You could access us step by step in this matter. Thank you in advance.

What tuvanhnx said, just uninstall android auto and install android auto v2.9 and reinstall carstream. Works after that

But It is gonna work only for one day or two because Google Play services will update automatically to 12.5 and there is nothing you can do to avoid it except to repeat the procedure again.

Walkaround for CarStream.
I’ve posted last week about using Google play services 12.2.21 for carStream to work. But the problem is that it will get automatically updated. So whenever you want to use CarStream you need to uninstall and reinstall play services.
Hurray …
I use Mi 4 Phone. On 18th April they released a system update that is MIUI 9.5.4.0 Stable
After that system update For using CarStream I uninstalled Google Play services ( without checking the version) and reinstalled Play services 12.2.21 and used CarStream while driving. On the next day I found it got automatically updated. So I again uninstalled Play Services, and checked the stock version number it shows 11.9.75 (446-182402865).
Normally when I uninstall play services a message will pop up saying google wont work unless you update play services.
BUT THIS TIME THE MESSAGE IS NOT POPPING UP.
From 19 april onwards I am successfully using CarStream 1.8.3 +AA 2.9
Google Play Services 11.9.75 WHICH DOES NOT GETTING UPDATED AUTOMATICALLY. Its 6 days now No problems yet CARSTREAM works fine.
I tried with my wifes phone Mi4A. did the same thing play services version 11.9.75 and is not getting automatically updated.
Experiment: I installed 12.2.21 but it is getting automatically updated.
SO Friends try with Play Services 11.9.75
And Reply your results

Followed podimonanil's advice and used Titanium Backup Pro to freeze Google Play Services, then uninstalled Google Play Services updates in settings and installed version 11.9.75. Confirmed videos and screen mirroring working with rooted Samsung Note 4. Using AA Mirror Plus and Carstream on Android Auto

Using Galaxy Note 3. non-rooted device.
Used both 12.2.21 and 11.9.75 but of no use..
in few hours it updates itself to the latest version. my phone is constantly connected to high speed Wi-Fi.
and I cannot disable playstore as I keep downloading many apps from it.

any other work around.??

Use net guard and set it to block google play services on data network and Wi-Fi network. There should be no more updates after that
