Not convinced this should be the default yet but 👍

Being able to specify this in the liftoffrc is cool but I agree it shouldn't default to a storyboard. It's also possible to use nibs for this.

@21x9 I don't follow. This isn't something you would really specify in the liftoffrc (beyond it's physical location on disk). It also uses a nib, not a storyboard.

My mistake, I thought this was an option to specify whether you wanted liftoff to create and assign a launch storyboard for you.

So wait, are y'all cool with this being included in the default template, or not? This is how Xcode creates projects now, if that matters.

Ya I'm fine with that.

@Jocamello By LAMP background, do you mean writing flashlight apps specifically?

@iamdustan
Copy link

@Jocamello or apps for lavalamps?

@calebhearth
Copy link

I wrote a really strong web flashlight app, I could probably port that to IOS.

I like lamps. I got this SICK lamp once ... it was a major award. They sent it to me in a box with "Fra-gee-lay" written all over it.

Cool story bro.

I don't have much experience stacking lamps, but here's a rough prototype.

Oh California? That's not going to work out.

@mjankowski

Note for anyone considering applying for this position: while the job description doesn't say this, recent California legislation requires that any LAMP:Stack::Certified™ professionals seeking to gain employment in a LAMP capacity get re-certified to understand the newest power-saving LED bulbs and other green/efficient technology.

If you only have traditional LAMP experience with Halogen or traditional Incandescent lighting, you won't be able to (legally) work in California. You could go under the table but I don't advise it.

There's a 3 year exemption on commercial fluorescent lighting.

I have 5 years of light bulb stacking, I'm sure I could pick up lamp stacking in a few days.

Pro tip: CFLs are easier to stack than incandescent bulbs.

Are you sure you need a developer? There are some off the shelf LAMP Stacking solutions that are highly configurable. Here's an example of one system, showing how easy it is to add the Orange feature to the stack. (photo credit ThinkGeek.com)

@peterrecore Also do note that it has GREAT modularization. But you may also need an engineer do tell you if you can do stuff as removing the "YELL-OWL-Square" module without breaking everything that was built over it.

Pro tip: backup after making any changes.

Our next LAMP stack will be revolutionary. This will be a whole new way for LAMPs to stack. We call it touch-lamp. Because, what could be simpler than a touch?
