So it seems like people can join our Google groups without needing a Google account using links like the below. Can you get this linked to on the website as the groups don't seem to have a good way to find it.

Try this link and see if it works? https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/gst-switch/join
It seems to only require an email address.

We should probably have a "Join" or "Contribute" link on the left hand side?

Does this justify a separate page from what's already there? Does "Getting Help / Join" work?

While I think there is a lot of content in common between "Getting Help" and "Joining the project" - I think we do want to keep them separate? We do need some type of "call to action" about joining the project to encourage people to do so.

Maybe also need to have a big button on the front page?
