Personal Collections

It is a core idea of KeyCombiner to not just practice any keyboard shortcuts, but to select what is useful for you.

A good way to start is by collecting all combinations you already know. It is comforting to have an overview of everything that is at your disposal. Practicing with these known combinations might show some room for improvement regarding speed and accuracy. The Confidence column gives a quick overview of how accurately and how fast you have been able to type a specific combination during practice.

The easiest way to build your collections is by importing combinations from the growing list of public collections.

The logical next step is to extend your collection with shortcuts you want to learn. Over time, your collection will grow and you will see your keyboard proficiency grow!

Actions on Personal Collections

Use Practice All to practice this collection's combinations or Practice Selection to practice the currently selected subset.

Manually add a new combination via the Add-button.

The combination table supports all popular multi-selection patterns. Hold Shift for range-selection. Use Ctrl for selecting multiple areas, and drag the mouse to select adjacent entries. You can do the following actions on the current selection:

  • Using the Delete-button, it is possible to delete all selected combinations at once. Please note that this can not be undone!
  • Move the selected combinations to another personal collection via the Move-button.
  • Copy the selected combinations to another personal collection via the Copy-button.

Click on the Statistics-icon in the right-most column of the table to see past practice results for a particular combination. If you do not see this icon, it is because there are no test results for the respective combination yet. The same icon in the top will show aggregated statistics for all combinations in this collection.

Use the Export-button in the top-left to export the keyboard combinations in different formats. (Pro only)

Use the sidebar on the right to filter through your collection by preset criteria quickly. Use the different search fields for more complex queries.

The Dots-icon in the top right gives access to additional features, such as sharing the collection through a public link, renaming or deleting the collection, and importing combinations from a CSV file.
