Currently, there is no section that is dedicated to discussing what a pipelined protocol is and how it fits in with tokio-proto.

Agreed this would be useful. https://tokio.rs/docs/getting-started/pipeline-server/ shows an example of building a pipelined server, but never explains what pipelined means.
