Map based data science excercise using Curacao data
This project was created to practice map based data science and dashboard style visualisation using dash plotly. I focussed on learning osm, dash, plotly express, geopandas, and relevant gis libraries.
Curacao data is more difficult to process because due to a lack of easily accesible and usable open data. Data has been retrieved from the sources below:
- OpenStreetMap - Map data
- Konseho Supremo Elektoral (Curacaoan Election board) - Election data for past years, kse.cw
- Amigoe newspaper - Election data for the previous year
