Yeah, if you guys want to post crash reports, might help. I haven't seen
this issue at all here.

Thank you very much, Brett, for looking into this. Here are three consecutive fresh crash reports. Hope they help. Thanks again. Best regards, 20180126 - rt - problem report for nvalt - es01.txt |
Oddly, the crashed thread seems to have a lot of Touch Bar calls in it
that there's no intentional reason nvALT should be making. Are you
running on a Touch Bar MacBook?

Yes, I am... MBP 15" 2017 w/touchbar. I dont see any attempted changes to the TB when i try to rename. |
I do too: MBP 13” with touchbar, late 2017. And I too don’t see anything changing on the touchbar when I try to rename.
Thanks!

One more (2017 13" TouchBar MBP running High Sierra 10.13.3) :
|
Noticing as well. At about the same time, I also started getting immediate crashes when trying to add tags to a file. I've attached that report, in case it's related. |
Same issue here, also a TouchBar MBP. Anything I can do to help? |
I have a touchbar MBP - same issue |
Chiming in with the same. Crash on rename, either through mouse click & wait on title, keyboard shortcut or menu selection. Just updated to High Sierra, but I had the issue in Sierra as well. nvAlt version: 2.2.8 (128) |
Same issue here - was going to post a crash report but it seems this might be fixed with #522. Anything we can do to help move that along? |
Same issue.... :( |
Same issue with new MBP on Mojave. Is the fix available somewhere? |
All of my dev time has gone into the replacement for nvALT. I don't have a touch bar machine to test on, so I'm currently unable to track down this issue. If anyone else has a fix, happy to look at a pull request. |
Dear Brett,
Thank you very much for nvALT.
I would like to report an issue I have been having with it since the upgrade to MacOS 10.13.2: nvALT crashes every time I try to rename a note, whether I double-click on it, I right-click and select rename, or I click command+R. It is of course possible that this has nothing to do with the OS, but I thought I would let you know anyway and ask if there is anything I could do to help you in case you wished to look further into this (e.g., send you crash reports).
Thank you very much for your consideration.
Best regards,
Enrico
