As reported by Nicholas Barnes in the forums OTRS/Znuny v6.0 (as included in our OTRS appliance) is essentially EOL.
During responding to him, I discovered that OTRS/Znuny has been removed from Debian (it's still in Bullseye, but won't be in Bookworm). So we're going to need to move to a source install. As I noted in my response, we have a choice between ((OTRS)) Community Edition and Znuny (plus there are other forks). As v6.0 was the final release of OTRS (before they went proprietary) we still have the choice of who to follow. After looking around, I think Znuny is the best path forward, but that's not yet set in stone.

Whilst I was correct in stating that the otrs package won't be in bookworm - that is only a transitional package! The package that provides OTRS (actually Znuny) is otrs2 and that is still in Bookworm.
For our v17.3 release we will install Znuny v6.4 from bullseye-backports.
As such, this issue was closed by turnkeylinux-apps/otrs#20. I'll reopen #1753 to continue tracking the appliance name change.
