Title about sums it up - I have the Notification Sound setting set to "None", yet I still get a notification sound from WeechatAndroid. This does not happen with any other apps.

Build number: v0.11

EDIT: I'm running LineageOS 14.1-20170713-NIGHTLY-oneplus3 on the OnePlus 3T.

apps no longer can update notification settings on android 8+, but you can do it yourself—long-tap the notification and choose appropriate settings there

if you update w-a to a more recent version, tapping on notification settings in the app will also take you there

@oakkitten Thanks! Indeed, I went to the notification settings and there was "Hotlist (make sound)" enabled. I disabled it and enabled it back and now it says "Hotlist (no sound)". So, apparently it was now able to read the notification settings from the app and use those. Great, thanks!
