img-builder

img-builder is a software for preparing Raspbian OS images. It based on img-tool. It works by an incremental operations inside the initial image.

There are stable versions of prepared images, you can find them in Github releases to test that.

Quick start

1. Fork it
2. Change build.sh, assets dir (as you want).
3. Run ./build.sh

Project name

Project name is used for naming Wi-Fi access point, local hostname.

To set own name of project you should to set PROJECT variable before run ./build.sh. In Github Actions change it in .github/workflows/makeimage.yml. Otherwise will be used the name theimage.

Image version

Image version is used in the name of image and you can check it inside image in /etc/builder.

To set own version of the image you can set IMAGE_VERSION before run ./build.sh. Otherwise will be used 7 digits of the last commit in the repo.

In Github Actions is used the tag or the branch name provided by github.ref env variable.
