We have not tested it on intel realsense, so cannot really tell. But with proper calibration I think it is possible. I do not know whethe these sensors have global or rolling shutter cameras, this might also be a issue.

Recently , I have used ZR300 to do robot localization and it works pretty good . I think your SVO Algorithm can also work with it after doing calibration.
Will you fuse IMU data to SVO Algorithm in the future?
