I'm assuming you're running on alpine: $ apk add libc6-compat
$ ln -s /lib/libc.musl-x86_64.so.1 /lib/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2However, this is not a full fix for this, as there are more errors down the line :/ |

Using npm install --save next@^12.1.5 --include=optional seems to work in some cases. I am also running on a macbook pro M1 version and the command stated here helped me resolve the issue |

Same here. It's because CentOS 7 is limited to glibc v2.17 and the package is attempting to build with glibc v2.18 which is not available (and to my knowledge will never be available in CentOS v7). You can try to shoehorn in glibc v2.18 but it's super ugly and not advisable. Hopefully the Next.js team considers supporting glibc v2.17 here. I don't think CentOS v7 hits EOL until 2024 so it'd be nice to continue supporting it. |

I haven't looked deeply enough at what's being downloaded that's incompatible with glibc 2.17. Looks like SWC is a Rust-based platform for the compiler, though the package appears hosted by Next. I'm not sure who's compiling it and whether the SWC team or Next.js team would be the right folks to make the change. |

I am getting this error when deploying an app to Vercel with Node 18.x and v14.2.1-canary.4. Seems like it might only be affecting Linux. I created an issue here: #64468 One possible clue is that https://www.npmjs.com/package/@next/swc-linux-x64-gnu/v/14.2.1-canary.4 has an unpacked size of 88.2 MB whereas https://www.npmjs.com/package/@next/swc-linux-x64-gnu/v/14.2.1-canary.3 has an unpacked size of 131 MB. So maybe there was an issue generating this linux build artifact in the latest canary? |

I found a workaround, but I had to rewrite the micro-SD-Card of my Raspberry Pi with the 64 bit version of Raspberry Pi OS (lite). After that I was able to update Nextjs and build the project successfully. Obviously that works only with 64 bit hardware, e.g. Raspberry Pi >= model 4B. |
