Hi ๐!
I'm Vicent, aka "the dude that uses a light theme", a Spaniard software developer with more than 10 years making stuff around the World Wide Web. I love GNU/Linux (I use Arch BTW), free software, and overcomplicate myself ricing my Neovim setup.
These days I work as a senior backend engineer building high-throughput, event-driven microservices on Kubernetes and Kafka that power real-time personalization for hotel websites. Along the way I've shipped software for hospitality, higher education, e-commerce, warehouse management, ISP platforms and IoT usually leaning on hexagonal architecture, technical DDD, CQRS, SOLID and design patterns... while keeping an open mind: sometimes the best solution is the simplest one (KISS ๐ค๐).
PHP and Symfony are still where I have the deepest expertise, but Go has earned a spot in my daily toolkit, both at work and in most of my pet projects. I've also embraced AI-assisted development the professional way: LLMs for scaffolding, refactoring and rubber-ducking, while engineers keep owning the design, the tests and the reviews.
