They are in the spec, but appear not to work in any of Firefox, Yandex Browser or Safari on Mac OS. Anything on Windows, or should they go?

a simple test - the second range has multiple values

You mean as in a range slider with multiple thumbs?

image showing a HTML Slider control with two thumbs. The control represents an outbound flight selection widget that allows the user to select a range of times (one thumb for start, and another for the end of the range)

(The picture above is from the spec.)

Not implemented on any browsers that run on Windows.

I think this is an interesting feature idea; I would propose that we migrate it out of our spec, and into a new spec that can be shepherded and gather implementer interest in the WICG.

(I'd design it so that any user-clicks into the gaps in the slider would add additional slider thumbs, and they could be dragged out of their track to delete them.)

@travisleithead could you add an alt text? You can do so via Markdown [!alt text here](url to image).

I've never seen these work within OS X.

Here is another example of slider with multiple thumbs.

Agree it is a nice idea. But it seems to be just that.

So I suggest that we remove it from the current spec as a fantasy…

I'll work on a PR.

@arronei I'm not working on the PR to fix this. Are you?
