No normative use is made of [SSML], therefore, it should not appear in the normative references, but, rather, in the informative references.

The Working Group just discussed [SSML] reference should be informative. #462, and agreed to the following resolutions:

  • RESOLUTION: SSML needs to be made an informative reference in TTML2.
