Seeking software solution to adjust usable area of external monitor blocked by laptop display #2848
-
I'm having a physical setup where my laptop's display is positioned in such a way that it partially obstructs the view of my external monitor, specifically blocking the lower portion of the monitor's screen. As a result, I often find myself having to reposition application windows to the visible part of the screen for them to be usable. While the obvious solution might be to adjust the physical arrangement of my devices, my external monitor's stand lacks adjustability, and I'm not keen on using a monitor arm. Given these constraints, I'm exploring software solutions that could effectively "trim" or "cap" the usable area of my external display to prevent windows from extending into the obstructed area. I'm curious whether BetterDisplay could offer a feature that allows me to customize the active display area of my external monitor to avoid it being hidden behind the laptop's display. |
