Tested Another Browser: Yes Chrome

Problem type: Something else
Description: Crash mobile browsers. Corrupts Fenix's state.
Steps to Reproduce:
Layout is broken on mobile.

It's usecase - applying certain filters to images crashes mobile browsers, could impact desktop browsers also.

Thanks for the report!
I'm able to reproduce the issue.

STR taken from the Fenix opened issue:

  1. Open Firefox Preview browser.
  2. Go to: https://www.color-blindness.com/coblis-color-blindness-simulator/ .
  3. Tap on the "3 dots" from bottom right corner.
  4. Enable "Desktop Site" option.
  5. Tap on the "Browse" button and choose the image you want to change.
  6. Choose "Green-Week/Deuteranomaly".
  7. Refresh the page.
  8. Choose again the same image.
  9. Tap on the link generated "Open simulated image in new window".

Tested with:
Browser / Version: Firefox Preview Nightly 200331 (🦎: 76.0a1-20200330094747)
Operating System: Samsung Galaxy S8 (Android 9) - 1440 x 2960 pixels, 18.5:9 ratio (~570 ppi density)

Moving to Needsdiagnosis.

@karlcow I think this is not a webcompat issue, though (Desktop Mode, and browser crash).

We on mobile cannot work around how the website functions.
Because of how big the data url can be in most cases we will either crash or won't open the link to the image with filters applied.
The only solution I see would be so that that particular website would offer a link to a hosted image that we could easily load in a new tab and not provide the image in the url.

It doesn't seem like there's any diagnosis needed here, but the recommendation to contact the website and recommend offering a hosted image download.
