URL: https://www.tumblr.com/dashboard

Browser / Version: SeaMonkey 2.53.7
Operating System: Windows 7
Tested Another Browser: No

Problem type: Something else
Description: bumptious message "unsupported browser" handicaps usage of page
Steps to Reproduce:
Using default Browser User Agent String I see the ugly message as per screenshot "you use an unsupported browser". But in fact, the only problem I see is that message in the picture, which can't be removed by "close-X". If I use a FF user string I can use tumblr without any problems; at least I can't see any. This is some nonsense browser sniffing.

I just tried using Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:60.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/60.0 SeaMonkey/2.53.7 on Firefox 88.
And it's working for me. No messages. So I wonder if it's really UA sniffing or more something a dependency on more recent version of Gecko.

The dismiss depends on setting cookies too.

      i = ee(c);
      function c() {
        var e;
        return X(this, c),
        (e = i.apply(this, arguments)).state = {
          isVisible: e.shouldShowMessage()
        },
        e.onDismissClick = function () {
          var t = e.props.appContext.setCookie,
          n = new Date(Date.now() + 604800000);
          e.setState({
            isVisible: !1
          }),
          t('unsupported-browser-message-dismiss', '1', {
            expires: n
          }),
          e.logViewEvent(G.b.UnsupportedBrowserMessageDismiss)
        },
        e
      }

Or has it been fixed since?

Closing as incomplete, as we don't have enough information.
