McGill et al. 2007 has the following categories for families of SAD distributions:
Statistical
Branching process
Population dynamics (including neutral models)
Niche partitioning
Spatial distribution of individuals
I think that we should try to include at least one from each family, except spatial distribution, plus MaxEnt.
