If this issue is a feature request:

  • Describe the scenario and benefits that the feature supports.
  1. Bundle installs .NET, bundle reboots, user checks ARP and sees product as installed when only .NET was installed. (Ability to install prerequisites without adding entry in ARP #4822)
  2. Bundle takes a long time to install, user checks ARP and sees product as installed when installation is still ongoing.
  • Describe how you're accomplishing the feature today (if possible).

Not possible

  • Describe what you'd like the new feature to do.

Ability to have a different DisplayName in ARP based on whether a non-permanent package has been installed.
