The main new feature is Bitcoin's taproot activation logic; note that taproot is still incomplete in Namecoin and Xaya, and the activation code is disabled for now.
In addition to this, this includes support for CHI burns in games from #103.
In addition, various improvements to the Xaya-specific code have been made, including extended features and more robust logic for the game ZMQ notifications.
This is a new minor release for the 1.2 release series of Xaya Core.
This main change is #97, which allows the
name_update RPC to send updates even if there is already a pending update for the name.
Since the 1.2.1 version (which allowed this in the mempool policy with #96) is now widely deployed by miners and relaying nodes, this change is safe to make and will fully enable multiple name updates per block also for users and gameplay.
There is no need for miners and full nodes to update. Only users who want to take advantage of multiple
name_update's per block themselves should update.
This is a new minor release for the 1.2 release series of Xaya Core. The main change is #96, which has
been applied for this release. That allows miners and relaying nodes to update to a version that allows multiple name updates in the mempool as soon as possible.
The most important Xaya-specific changes are:
- The ZMQ notification interface for games has been extended. Notifications about moves in blocks contain more information, and also pending moves are now broadcasted as soon as they are added to the node's mempool.
verifymessageframework has been extended compared to upstream, so that we can properly support the needs of Xaya ID.
This is a bug fix release for the 1.1.x release series. It contains two important changes:
- It fixes #82 through a back port of #83.
- It includes cherry pick fixes for the issues related to Unicode characters in data directories. In particular, bitcoin/bitcoin@5bb0164 and bitcoin-core/leveldb#18.
Due to #83, users need to sync from scratch with a clean data directory when updating, as the on-disk format for the block index has changed!
