Tutorial (Kismet)
Kismet can be used alone or simultaneously with the option Wireless activated.
It is required to setup the interface from Menu option Config/Interfaces/Extra.
Note: If you want to use Kismet and Wireless options simultaneously, it is required to use 2 different interfaces.
Kismet can be used with an usb GPS device.
GPSD option allows us to start the GPS device to work with Kismet.
ttyUSB0 indicates if the usb GPS is connected.
Done, just press Start from the Menu option Status or from Modules/Kismet.
Logs
Kismet option will create a new log file each time that is started.
To export and download all the captured traffic it is required to stop Kismet first.
If Kismet was used with a GPS device, the captured traffic will include the position.
The exported/downloaded file can be imported for example into google-earth
