Twitter-bot is a program that integrates with the Twitter platform, automatically posting, retweeting, liking, or following other users. Twitter-bot can prove to be useful through providing interesting information or updates, and they can also be fun or humorous.
You will need to install Open Source Twitter API - Tweepy first :
pip install --upgrade pip
pip install tweepy
You will also need to create an app account on https://dev.twitter.com/apps
1. Sign in with your Twitter account
2. Create a new app account
3. Modify settings for that app to allow read & write
4. Generate a new OAuth token with those permissions
5. Edit config.py and put those tokens in the script
Now, You are all set. Fire up your terminal and execute following command :
python main.py
- Auto Post on timeline from a pre-defined txt file.
- Auto Retweet through a user defined hashtag
- Follow users using a hashtag
- Like all posts using a hashtag
