After more than 20 years with mldonkey I think that its time to buy a coffee to the mldonkey team.
How can I do it for you?

Also, to use this issue, it would be nice to have the mldonkey-server package into debian repositories again.

Anyway, thanks. Its an awesome software.

The original dev team is not here anymore, and I don't feel entitled to receive the coffee for their work :)
As for the debian package, iirc it was removed due to #46

Sad to hear that.
My programming skills are far away from give any help to solve the problem.

#46 is a problem (I am the one who filed it...), but for now, there is a workaround - mldonkey has a build mode for building the older version of caml just before using it to build mldonkey. That's acceptable for personal use, but not for a distribution. This approach will eventually break though, when older version of caml requires more and more patches to be compatible with current c compiler. The long term answer is to update mldonkey to be compatible with current caml, but that a bit of hard work. (Adding patches to old version of caml requires knowledge of C, while updating mldonkey requires knowledge of the ob caml language).

For now I am glad mldonkey still works...

Lets use it before it dies.
