With regards to a819fb7

Could you clarify which GPL license applies. Ideally create a LICENSE file in the repository which can be included in distro packaging, such as RPM files.

In R packages, GPL means any version of GPL: https://cran.rstudio.com/doc/manuals/r-release/R-exts.html#Licensing I can use an explicit version if it is desirable. Thanks!

As indicated in the document you refer to, GPL is ambiguous, and should be avoided. Allowing new packages without many reverse dependencies to just write GPL is lowering the bar for entry.

However testit now has lots of packages depending on it, so it should clarify its licensing.

Okay. I just changed it to GPL-3. Thanks!
