Description

Since the --datebefore and --dateafter works on Bitchute channels there is by necessity SOME time data delivered to yt-dlp. But downloaded videos are not assigned any time beside the time of download.

Even though no time beyond dates are provided, couldn't the videos AT LEAST receive the date of the video?

Pukkanden did give some answer relating to this request in this thread, and I apologize if I wasn't able to extract all relevant information from their response when posting the present request.

I think you gave the wrong link?

I don't understand what exactly you are asking. Are you asking about upload_date? or about mtime?

If it is about mtime, probably duplicate of #903

ANY date other than the time I am downloading the file.

I'm not sure what the difference is between the two you mention.

where do you want the date? in filename? or as modified time?

As modified time. So that the downloaded files line up chronologically in their download folder.

OK. I'll tweak my request:

I want upload_date to set the modified time. That would satisfy my initial request.

Can that be accommodated?
