Configuration Summary

Based on the default config's presets, Renovate will:

  • Start dependency updates only once this onboarding PR is merged

  • Use semantic commit type fix for dependencies and chore for all others if semantic commits are in use.
  • Ignore node_modules, bower_components, vendor and various test/tests directories.

  • Apply crowd-sourced package replacement rules.
  • Apply crowd-sourced workarounds for known problems with packages.
  • Enable Renovate Dependency Dashboard creation.

  • Separate each major version of dependencies into individual branches/PRs.
  • Raise PR when vulnerability alerts are detected.
  • Ignore node_modules, bower_components, vendor and various test/tests directories.
  • Preserve (but continue to upgrade) any existing SemVer ranges.
  • Limit to maximum 10 open PRs at any time.
  • Update lint packages automatically if tests pass.
  • Rate limit PR creation to a maximum of two per hour.
  • Automerge patch and minor upgrades if they pass tests.
  • Automerge patch upgrades if they pass tests.
  • Update @types/* packages automatically if tests pass.
  • Append Signed-off-by: to signoff Git commits.
  • Add [skip ci] to commit message body whenever pinning.
  • Use curated list of recommended non-monorepo package groupings.
  • Group known monorepo packages together.
  • Apply crowd-sourced workarounds for known problems with packages.
  • Organization level configuration for automated dependency updates
