Sometimes during game play, the screen goes all white*. Nothing can be seen except for the HUD (health, inventory etc). This is camera location and rotation dependent: when it happens, it can be fixed by moving the camera to a different position by moving the mouse or joystick.

* Actually the same colour as the mist.

This seems to only happen when using an Intel HD card on Windows.

Workaround: disable the DoF filter:

  1. At the main menu (before loading a game), go to the Options screen by clicking on the big blue arrow button at the top-left of the screen.
  2. From the options screen, go to the Video options screen by clicking on the Video button.
  3. Disable the Depth of Field field by clicking on the Depth of Field text so that the checkbox is un-checked, as shown in the screenshot below.
  4. Press the big green tick button to accept the changes. This will take you back to the Options screen.
  5. Press the blue arrow at the top right of the screen to return to the main menu.
  6. Load a saved game as normal, or create a new one.

The DoF filter seems to cause issues on Windows when using certain
video cards. This is a fix for that:
- A blacklist of video card/platform combos has been added.
- If the system is blacklisted, the DoF filter defaults to being
disabled. If the user enables it, they are shown a warning.

With the workaround in place, this shouldn't cause an issue any more. Closing.
