Missing logic for automatically detecting camera capabilities #10

As per this thread https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/opentld/zrQS4SPJq9o (and others I think), I think it would be good if someone wrote some logic for automatic camera detection. Shouldn't be too difficult I'd think. Unfortunately, I can't do it, I don't have a computer with both Matlab and a webcam. :-(
