Similar to the Zope Developer's Guide, also the Zope Book has to be updated to Zope4 / Python 3.

The "Zope Book" is based on Zope 2 and has to be updated to Zope 4.

This will take a very long time.

In the mean time at least a hint is shown, that the book refers to
Zope 2.

In #741 some improvements have been made for the Searching and Categorizing Content chapter of the Zope book, but it has not been updated for Zope 4/5.

The one who updates it, please include the changes @icemac suggested in #741.

Updating the Zope book is an ongoing effort and can't be handled at once. For the last couple of years we have updated parts of the documentation whenever we touched itself or related code. Given the amount of documentation and the few active developers, I think this is not only the only way, but also a good way. I think there is no more need to keep this issue open.
