Why not implement a "drop zone" to import/upload many files at a time and set automatically the title property to the filename?

If you have the need for such a feature, you are indeed encouraged to implement it, and share it with the community :)

Someone else might do it, but that could take time if it isn't high enough on their todo list...

I already had the patch to make the title of a file optional, did it a few days ago.
The drag-and-drop thing would be nice indeed, but like Andreas says, who has the time....

I have a module somewhere in MaxClass which can be used to upload multiple files at once.
Problem is that is uses flash, would prefer to use something more HTML5.

Anyone interested in mod_multiupload?

Yes, Marc, of course... Many thanks... I try find some time to work on a
pure HTML 5 multi upload module, but there is a lot of very annoying things
like browser compatibility (horizontal and vertical) and javascript issue...

There is now an admin module for multi-file-upload.
