Camera Stacking in Supersampling 2022

Sunfall Supersampling now supports camera stacking on both Built-in Pipeline and Universal Pipeline.

Note: HDRP Compositor is currently not supported officially supported but some users have managed to make it work with certain setups. The official support is currently under research.

Camera Stacking on Built-In Pipeline

In order to make use of camera stacking for built-in pipeline, just add the super sampling to the cameras you want to supersample and you are good to go!

Supported stacking setups on Built-In:

Setup Support
SSAA Base Camera + SSAA Top Camera ✔️
SSAA Base Camera + Regular Top Camera ✔️
Regular Base Camera + SSAA Top Camera ✔️

Camera Stacking on URP

In order to make use of camera stacking for Universal Render Pipeline, only the base camera needs to have the SuperSampling component added

Supported stacking setups on URP:

Setup Support
SSAA Base Camera + SSAA Top Camera ✔️
SSAA Base Camera + Regular Top Camera ✔️
Regular Base Camera + SSAA Top Camera

NOTE 1: It is important not to add the supersampling component to the top cameras as it will break rendering!

NOTE 2: Due to the way SRP works, it is not possible to have a supersampled overlay camera without supersampled base camera

How to add an overlay camera with supersampling:

To add an overlay camera whose contents should also be supersampled, make sure to add the camera to the camera stack of the SSAA child camera instead of your original camera.

How to add an overlay camera without supersampling:

To add an overlay camera whose contents should NOT be supersampled, make sure to add the camera to the camera stack of your original camera.
