Making A Privly Content Server

Sean McGregor edited this page Feb 2, 2015 · 3 revisions

This section is for people who don't want to use the Privly reference implementation content server. Follow these steps if you want to use a different server technology.

Minimum Integration

Any domain containing #privlyInject1 will be injected into the web page when it is encountered by the extension. If you add the injection string to a link and put it onto a page, clicking it will inject the content into the page.

The injected document needs to post a message to the parent document containing the height of the content. Note: The extension selects a special format by adding a parameter to the injected URL, format=iframe. The iframe format indicates the content will be viewed inside a host webpage. This parameter may interfere with some content servers, but we are in the process of removing it.
