Maybe this is obvious, and I didn't see it, but: is it possible to escape to normal mode for a single command?

I'm still learning how to dance, and it seems a very useful move to have!

This should be possible by pressing c-v in insert / normal mode, but the logic for switching back to the previous mode is not implemented yet. I'll work on it.
