<i-w> does not work correctly on last word of line

To reproduce:

1. Place cursor on last word of line
2. Hit <i-w>

Expected output:

• Last word gets selected

Actual output:

• Just current character gets selected

This happens in the new single char selection mode as well as the empty selection mode.
