About The Project

A Graphical User Interface to calculate SGPA with Grades and Marks for VTU Students only. This software tool is designed and developed according to the standard specification provided by the VTU at backside of the vtu marks cards. The software is best suited for 2018 scheme students

Tools used:- QT5, Pyinstaller

Getting Started

  • SGPA and CGPA can be calculated for maximum of 15 subjects per semester in this software.
  • Kindly Enter valid details and verify the details.
  • 2018 scheme students Enter the Marks only if you have passed in both Internal and External examination.

Prerequisites

Installation

  1. Clone the repo
git clone https://github.com/Adarsh232001/VTU-SGPA-CGPA-CALCULATOR.git
  1. Download the .exe(executable) file from the realease.

Usage

  • Run the software or program in your ide.
  • You should get output as show below.
    To calculate SGPA:-

  1. Select the tab calculate sgpa with grades or marks and select the semester which you want to calculate sgpa which helps in filling the credits.


2.Enter your grades/marks and the credits assigned.
3.Click calculate and your SGPA will be displayed in the LCD Number Widget


NOTE:- 2018 scheme students Enter the marks only if you have passed in both Internal and External examinations or else ENTER THE MARKS BELOW 0 WHICH GIVES THE CORRECT SGPA AND CGPA BELOW 40 MARKS IS CONSIDERED AS FAIL AND ITS GRADE POINT IS 0

To calculate CGPA:-
1.Select the tab calculate cgpa with grades part - 01 and enter the credits and grades. Note down the results.

2.If you want to calcualte cgpa with marks select the calculate cgpa with marks part - 01 and enter the credits and marks. Note down the results.

3.Calculate for all the semesters in the above steps( either cgpa with grades or cgpa with marks) and note down the values showed in the lcdbox widget
4.After calculating the semesters sum of ci*gi and sum of ci, select the tab cgpa part - 02 and enter the details.
