Extension or Userscript?

Extension

Request or suggest a new feature!

I noticed that whenever the dislike count is unavailable, the text that says so is really big, and with the place it takes, it hides the release date of the video
I would suggest making it either smaller, or shorter by changing the text and using something like NA, which would solve the issue.

I'm suggesting this as a feature because it's not a bug, nothing is broken, it all works as intended, it's just a minor inconvenience which I figured has a pretty easy solution.

Ways to implement this!

Change the word, or the font size
Might have to do it for every language, but honestly I wouldn't mind doing it in a fork if that's alright with you guys

Can you work on this?

  • Yes
  • No

I have the same problem, too; text string takes over the subtitle (information) area.

  • What to do with other languages? Can "NA" always be translated?
  • Can "Temporarily" be understood by users reading the abbreviation?

If no to either question, here's one recommendation: add a user option (.... yes another option)
Text:

Display abbreviation "N/A" when dislike number is temporarily unavailable

Hover text:

Takes less space; For reasons, see our Github pull request #527

N/A is pretty universal since it's used in a lot of situation, but otherwise we could also look how it's written in other languages and use abreviations.
Like, in french it's "Temporairement Indisponible" so T/I

Hopefully that would work?

Or they could use the null symbol: Ø

Or just show "?" or something like that in case dislikes are unavailable.
