plugins: sign a message

It would be very useful if a plugin could prompt a user to sign a (pre-filled, uneditable) message. Upon signing the message, the signature would be automatically returned to the plugin for further processing. Bonus points if the modal can be customised to explain to the user why they are being asked to do this.

Edited to add it would also be good if the address to use to sign the message could also be passed in as a parameter.
