- The Genome: the collection of genes that control the building of a biomorph's body (its phenotype) by a process of embryology.
- Phenotype (bodies): the body of the biomorph, built under the control of its genome.
- Embryology: the processes that build a biomorph's body, under the control of its genome.
- Mutation: How the Watchmaker programs introduce random changes into new copies of a parent's genome when the parent biomorph produces offspring.
- Presentation: How a biomorph's phenotype is translated into device-specific media for presentation to the outside world: as graphics on a screen, or other instructions for presentation in a specified medium.
