Troubleshooting

If you have an issue with Auto Dark Mode X, please try the following things first before opening an issue:

My Auto Dark Mode is not starting with Windows!

• Open the Auto Dark Mode App, go to "Settings" and scroll down to the Autostart section.
• Verify that the Toggle is set to "On"
• Verify that the Path is matching the install location of Auto Dark Mode
• Verify that the Autostart entry is not disabled in Windows (Auto Dark Mode will warn you about this)

If the toggle switch is "Off", please re-enable it. If the path does not match, you can click on the "Refresh Autostart" button to refresh the entry.

Auto Dark Mode randomly activates dark mode on laptops!

You need to disable "Enable dark mode when device is unplugged" in Switch Modes-Settings. This issue is caused by OEM driver which tries to limit the battery charge to extend battery lifetime.
