[FEAT]: Preparation to 2022-03-17 OpenCV Weekly Webinar #120
Comments
Da: Phil Nelson <phil@xxxx.org> Hey folks! Update from my side: I've got another team to take the 2/17 edition of the webinar, so you have more time to work on the project before your episode. Would you be interested in taking the 3/24 edition with a full episode dedicated to your team / project? The blog post is scheduled to go up today! I will follow up with a link when it goes live. Phil Nelson |
Da: Gianpaolo Macario gmacario@xxxx.com Hello Phil, OK for postponing our participation to the OpenCV Weekly Webinar. Just to make sure: when you wrote "3/24" did you mean
or actually
Please advise, thanks. Gianpaolo |
Da: Phil Nelson <phil@xxxx.org> Yes, March 24 is what I meant- we are booked until then, should give you plenty of time! Phil Nelson |
Da: Gianpaolo Macario gmacario@xxxx.com Hi Phil,
Great. Thanks for confirming. We are very excited to have this opportunity to showcase the ARNEIS project. Looking forward to reading your blog post, -- |
Da: Phil Nelson <phil@xxxx.org> Team, Apologies for one more wrench being thrown into scheduling here: The episode we were intending to broadcast on 3/17 now must be moved to 3/24. Would the team be interested in switching dates, and instead of appearing on the 3/24 episode moving up to this week’s 3/17 episode? It would be a big help. Thanks, |
Da: Gianpaolo Macario gmacario@xxxx.com Hello Phil, We would have been happier if your request was for postponing our episode, rather than anticipating it :-) Honestly, the ARNEIS project is progressing as planned, however as you may understand putting together a presentation for a 40-min presence to next OpenCV Weekly meeting in two days is not easy. Also, this week we are quite busy in our full-time job at AROL so we only have two nights left for the preparation. Anyway I discussed your request with Gianluca ed Alessandro and we accept the challenge. Also, due to work priorities Alessandro will not be able to attend in person. I will represent the team together with Gianluca. If both conditions are OK with you, please advertise the change of schedule and make a public announcement ASAP that the ARNEIS project will be showcased on Thursday, 2022-03-17. We had talked to a few local LEGO MOC communities about our project, but we were supposed us to show up on 24, so we want to make sure they will be aware of the change and tune in the right day. On our side we will do our best to fill in the episode! Best regards, |
Da: Phil Nelson phil@xxxx.org This is excellent news, Satya and I really appreciate it. I know it’s tight timing but I’m sure you’ll do great. 2 team members is usually best, to be honest, as more than that gets noisy sometimes. I will send you and Gianluca a calendar invite shortly, as well as the LinkedIn event link and poster. We’ll be sending out the notice in OpenCV Newsletter as well. Thank you!
