Challenge Name

Gatsby: Predict the Guests Attending!

Team Members

Team Open To Others?

Absolutely, we need:

  • backend statistics (python) (Gordon + ....)
  • web (mobile development)

Challenge Pitch
Say you plan a wedding or another large event. One of the first things to deal with is the dreaded guest list, something that always turns out to be a harder task than it first appears. Ideally, you’d invite everyone you’ve ever met, but the realities of budget and venue size quickly find you making tricky decisions between people with a seemingly equal right to be invited. Then some say yes, but don't show up.

Let's apply statistics to predict the optimal number of seats ! The application we intend to build takes a series of harmlessly looking best guesses from the user to compile an estimate with reduced error!

Creating an effortless user interface with a little stats magic will reduce the empty seats at the wedding table and leave money for the honeymoon.
