The devel version of the package doesn't build on BioC Windows server: http://bioconductor.org/checkResults/devel/bioc-LATEST/BgeeDB/tokay1-checksrc.html

There is not explicit error message, but it fails in the test of the formatData function and the last line of output displays:

Saved expression data file in C:/Users/biocbuild/bbs-3.6-bioc/meat/BgeeDB.Rcheck/tests_i386/testthat/Mus_musculus_Bgee_14_0 folder. Now unzipping C:/Users/biocbuild/bbs-3.6-bioc/meat/BgeeDB.Rcheck/tests_i386/testthat/Mus_musculus_Bgee_14_0/Mus_musculus_RNA-Seq_read_counts_TPM_FPKM_GSE30617.tsv.zip file...

Potential problems:

  • Running time? It is longer than other platforms (527.2s)
  • Internet connection problem when downloading file?
  • Windows 32 bits platform problem?
  • Change in the file? Indeed the file was Mus_musculus_RNA-Seq_read_counts_RPKM_GSE30617.tsv.zip for Bgee 13.2, and is now Mus_musculus_RNA-Seq_read_counts_TPM_FPKM_GSE30617.tsv.zip for Bgee 14. The size of the file is bigger (17Mb compressed, 305Mb uncompressed) and that could be problematic.

As a test, I have pushed a new version of the package (2.3.3) on devel branch of BioC, with examples and tests using a smaller data file: Mus_musculus_RNA-Seq_read_counts_TPM_FPKM_GSE43721.tsv.zip instead of Mus_musculus_RNA-Seq_read_counts_TPM_FPKM_GSE30617.tsv.zip
