  • Determine list of supported browsers
  • Implement caution message for unsupported browsers
  • Explore something like the BBC's wraith or our own Selenium tests to do cursory automated browser checking

Current browser support plan for public site: the currently released version of IE, FFX, Safari and Chrome plus the previous version of each. That means:

  • IE 10+
  • FFX 35+ (Will increment before Bongo launches)
  • Safari 7+
  • Chrome 39+ (Will increment before Bongo launches)

For the internal CMS, I don't plan to support any non-WebKit browsers, so the weak link will likely be iOS7 Safari.
