I open this issue for discussion about what type of enemies we should implement: what are their capacities, attacks, names, ...

Priority:

  • Weakling. Small mole, rather weak, not especially fast, light melee attack. Only dangerous when numerous.
  • Rusher. Small mole, rather weak, but a little bit faster than the previous, dig faster, light melee attack. Can go for the carrots quickly.
  • ?????. Small ranged mole that shoot arrows.
  • ?????. Tall, tougher, ranged mole that shoot arrows.
  • ?????. Tall, tougher, melee mole with a spear.

Other ideas (maybe for Beta version):

  • ?????. Tall mole that throw timed grenades.
  • ?????. Big tough mole that dig large holes and can take and deal a lot of damages. Light short ranged damages and severe melee damages.
  • ?????. Small flying mole that can shoot magic bullets and deal medium damages.
  • Grabber. A small mole picking up the player's weapons and use them against him. /!\ Needs rework to allow moles to use the same weapons without code duplication. Major problem: rabbit's arm directly on weapons' texture.
  • Kamikaze. A small mole with a barrel on his back, dealing high damages.

Size order:

  • Small mole: 32 × 32
  • Tall mole: 32 × 64
  • Big mole: 64 × 64

I think all the moles you mentionned should be added. I would add the following too:

  • a ranged mole of small size
  • a melee taller mole(the size of rabbit), tougher than the weakling but not a "big tough" mole

I would rather see the moles using primitive weapons such as spears, clubs, bows. Magic could be a thing though. Another thing is as you mentionned moles with guns.. it brought me the idea of a mole picking up the weapons dropped for the player and using them against him. Another mole could be a kamikaze with a barrel on his back.

I would make the following list as a priority:

  • small/tall melee mole
    -small/tall ranged mall(I would see them with a bow but bullet would be fine for the start)
