Re-tooling MicrobeTrace for resource analysis

MicrobeTrace has been successfully used to visualize and analyze relationships between seven vital conditions for community health and well-being across multiple federal agencies. (https://www.communitycommons.org/collections/Seven-Vital-Conditions-for-Health-and-Well-Being).

Vital Signs

The seven vital signs, or domains, include basic needs for health and safety, lifelong learning, meaningful work and health, human housing, reliable transportation, a thriving natural world, and belonging and civic muscle. The Equitable Long-Term Recovery and Resilience Plan is a US government-wide effort to align agencies and resources with the vital conditions to improve thriving and wellness among communities and individuals nationwide. This 10+-year look aims to improve resilience so as to not repeat the loss, suffering, and economic despair brought on by COVID, the economic downturn, and numerous disasters since 2020. The MicrobeTrace visualizations have been a powerful tool for leaders at all levels (Cabinet, Operating Division, Agency, etc.) and staff to quickly grasp work that is happening with their own organization and across the US government, as well as areas for coordination and to identify gaps. MicrobeTrace shows a baseline quickly and helps leadership engage in the planning more effectively and efficiently and results are reported to the White House periodically. The Vital Conditions web-based tool adapted from MicrobeTrace is available at https://cdcgov.github.io/VitalConditions/#.
