Special Terminology

Submission

A submission is the entity that represents fulfilling a task.

Submission is attached to a single task.

A submission may contain 1 or more of the following entires:

  • Submissions can contain text
  • Submissions can contain photos
  • Submissions can contain audio

Share

To share a task means to make available the contents of the task to other users using the internet has the transfer medium.

Task

A collection of requests made by a user.

Task is a small action that a user wants to be done.

A task is composed of a textual description and one or more requests.

A task may only be fulfilled once all of its prerequisite requests are fulfilled.

  • Tasks can be created.
  • Tasks can be viewed.
  • Tasks can be fulfilled.
  • Tasks can be shared online
  • Tasks can be stored locally

Competitive Products

  • Any.DO (http://www.any.do/) is a task managing system for various devices platforms such as Android, iO, and web browser. It allows you to make tasks and create reminds for them -- the tasks are synced and shared across various other members.
  • Stackoverflow (http://www.stackoverflow.com) - Crowd sourcing of textual information (Question and answers)
    • People will post questions or problems onto stack overflow and the community can help solve the task. The owner will be able to select the best solution for the task and may also comment on his/her own.
  • Instagram (http://instagram.com/) - Crowd sourcing of images. It does follow the task format exactly but there is a crowd sourcing aspect to the aggregation of viewing images via hash tags.
