Virtual Console

The emulator which exists for the TurboGrafx-16/PC Engine Virtual Console can support either HuCARD or CD-ROM types. The following section will focus on the HuCARD ROM type.

HuCARD

Most WADs store the ROM directly within the WAD as-is (raw format), although some others, such as Bomberman '94 and Street Fighter II': Champion Edition, use a compressed format such as LZ77 for the ROM file. In these cases, an application to compress the ROM needs to be provided (WWCXTool for example).

Currently, FriishProduce only supports injecting HuCARD games. CD games support is planned but not implemented yet.

SuperGrafx

Any games using the SuperGrafx hardware (view list) should only be injected into the following base WADs:

• Daimakaimura (JPN)
• Darius Plus (JPN)

If injected into a non-SuperGrafx base, these games will display a black screen.
