This works as intended.

Okay, and? People still want it back, regardless of what Mojang thinks about it. Though honestly I don't really see new features being added to this mod, now that damage tilt is fixed in vanilla (albeit not fully). You'd probably be better off just using nostalgic tweaks as I mentioned above if you want the jump tilt.

I'm just saying that just because something changed doesn't mean it's broken. Don't be so blinded over nostalgia like with the 1.2.5 damage tilt when it is much better now (or at least until 1.19.4 which fixed the bug even though it looked better before)

In the case of damage tilt it was actually broken, it didn't work because Mojang forgot to network the attack direction value to the client in multiplayer, so when 1.3 made singleplayer a local server it broke completely. If they had actually intended to remove the feature, they would have actually removed it instead of leaving the nonfunctional code in the game for 10 years before finally making it work again.

No one here is "blinded by nostalgia" (though I can see how the mod name Nostalgic Tweaks would imply that, it's more just a general purpose mod for bringing back stuff that was removed/changed in old versions, with toggles for each individual feature). When any feature is removed from the game of course there are going to be people who liked how it was before and want it back, not out of "nostalgia" but because they literally just preferred how it was before, in the same way how someone might prefer the game with something that's never been in vanilla to begin with. That's the entire reason small tweak mods like this exist, to give players the choice to customize their game in various ways, including bringing back old features. If you don't like those features, just don't use the mod, nobody is forcing it on you (I do question what you're doing on the issue tracker for a mod specifically designed to bring back damage tilt if you don't like damage tilt).

Also, when a feature disappears from the game with no explanation, it's not unreasonable to assume it might have been accidental (e.g. with the jump tilt, you could imagine Mojang changing or rewriting some code related to the player camera and forgetting to add it back). Even if the feature does later turn out to have been intentionally removed that doesn't suddenly invalidate everyone who still wants it, they can just mod it back into the game themselves.

I understand that, but I don't think that it is fair to assume that something is immediately broken if it was changed.

I like the idea of mods to bring back old features that people may want, but I wouldn't jump to saying that it is "broken."
